I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the shooting season if I tried! Julie and I had been planning their engagement session for months and as the forecast began rearing it’s head for the week, we were in question as to whether to go for it or reschedule. Julie + Richard made the brave decision to go for it! In NC, you never know if a forecast of snow means beautiful, white snow or nasty, slushy sleet! Much to our joy, the fluffy white flakes started falling just in time for our session and by the time our shoot was over, it had begun changing into the slushly stuff. It was timed perfectly!
I have no doubt in my mind that snow fell just for Julie + Richard :-) In fact, Julie tells me that the moment she know Richard was the one for her, was shortly after they started dating when a snow storm fell on Richmond, stranding her at work. Richard dropped everything and drove through the snow to pick her up so that she would have a safe ride home. It was during snow that her heart told her he was her soul mate, and it was during snow that we celebrated their engagement together :-)
There may not be snow during their October wedding at Albemarle Plantation, but there will be a whole lotta joy! Can’t wait!
