Elizabeth City NC Wedding | Mr. & Mrs. Scott

It’s not often our brides and grooms get to marry each other ‘twice’! As in for-real married once and having a celebration wedding later! But I have to think how lucky those couples are that get to share in that incredible moment together twice!

Tracy + James’s wedding experience was just that – an incredible moment they got to experience together twice. The first time was after they had been dating only 6 months and Tracy was getting ready to leave for the military. They decided one night before she left to run off and get married.. so they did!

Two years later they planned the ‘big wedding’ for all their family to take part in celebrating their not-so-new union :-)

You’d never know from being present that day that this wasn’t a new union because everyone there celebrated their love and their marriage as if it were just beginning!

God planned their wedding to happen at his perfect timing as, sadly, Tracy’s grandmother passed away suddenly just 1 1/2 weeks after their wedding.  My heart smiled through editing their photos knowing that God kept her there to celebrate this day with Tracy.  We captured so many beautiful moments of her Grandmother helping her get ready and smiling and enjoying this moment with her Granddaugther. It was beautiful :)

I’m so honored that we got to enjoy this day with Tracy, James, their son Damien and all their closest friends and family! We felt so loved by the end of the night as their family who had only known us for 6 hours, hugged us and thanked us for being their with them.

We are grateful to know these sweet people and so excited to see more celebrations their future holds!
