When Jerry and I met Julie + Richard for coffee last year, admittedly, we there so thankful they had found us. We felt they were our kinda folks. Down to earth, completely easy-going, so appreciative of each other and and excited about starting their life together. We knew immediately their day was going to be full of everything that counts – family, friends and a lot of love.
Our love of them grew to newer heights when our February engagement date rolled around, and with it, SNOW. Right at the exact time we’had planned to shoot. Did they want to reschedule? Nope! Instead they were ready to roll with the punches and make beautiful moments no matter what the weather was going to be! It ended up being beautiful. The most amazing snowy engagement shoot! I couldn’t have been more thankful for their brave attitude that pretty much translated.. ” you know what!? We are getting MARRIED. We are happy together whether rain sleet snow or shine and we are going to rock at life, no matter what!” They so rocked it.
When their wedding day rolled around on Saturday that same attitude was still at play. Their day was amazing in SO many ways, from the locations, to the flowers (the flowers!!), to her dress and details, to their sweetest first look, all the way to their celebratory guests dancing the night away! But the most amazing thing to us was that this couple didn’t stop smiling and loving on each other all. day. Even while culling through the very end of the reception photos I noticed they were still cuddling into each other on the dance floor, in the middle of all their guests. Our hearts melt for couples that love each other that much!
Can we talk a little more about hearts melting?? How about when Sybil of Yeopim flowers showed Julie her bouquet for the first time and Julie had tears over how perfect it was! What a fabulous moment for Sybil to see just how much Julie appreciated her talent and just how well Sybil got her style down pat. She nailed it, yall. But that’s nothing new ;-) In that moment I felt all over again the same tears that I cried when I saw the florals Sybil had designed for my own reception. That feeling of perfection will never leave me! Sybil – you are so good to your brides!
Julie and Richard – it’s so obvious to us, to your family, and to your friends that you’ve got what it takes to make this marriage last a lifetime and we are so thankful we were able to witness the start of it and to celebrate with you in this new chapter of your lives! Thank you!
